The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for middle Tennessee from 3:00 p.m. Monday through noon Tuesday.
There will be rain and snow between noon and 3 p.m. Monday, then just snow after that.
Once the snow starts, temperatures will rapidly fall to the freezing mark, and snow accumulation on area roadways will produce hazardous driving conditions.
When all is said and done, expect most of the Mid-State to have around an inch of snow on the ground, although some areas will see a little more, and some a little less. Isolated amounts around 2 inches will be possible.
Cold wind chills as low as 0 will cause frostbite in as little as 30 minutes to exposed skin.
