Kenny Rogers issued a statement to address rumors that he is dying. The statement was read through representatives today (May 31) after Radar Online reported that he is in such decline that he requires doctors 24/7.

“Due to recent wild misinformation and speculation from several media outlets, we are issuing the following statement on behalf of Kenny Rogers,” his reps write.

The full statement reads as follows:

Kenny was recently admitted to a local Georgia hospital and treated for dehydration. Rogers will remain there to complete some physical therapy to get his strength back prior to discharge. He appreciates the concern and well wishes he has received from his fans and can assure everyone he plans on sticking around through the years to come.
Rogers wrapped his 60-year music career with an all-star performance in Nashville in October of 2017. Radar Online reported on May 29 that bladder cancer forced Rogers to retire, and that he is now selling off his assets and saying his final goodbyes as he prepares for death. The tabloid gossip site even claimed that he recently placed a goodbye phone call to his longtime friend and frequent duet partner, Dolly Parton.
