UPDATE: Names released in murder-suicide on Moore Hollow Road in Woodlawn

Update, 4:35 p.m.: The deceased have been identified as Charles Hill, 73, and Audrey Evans, 71, who lived together at the home, 4291 Moore Hollow Road, according to MCSO.

EMS and law enforcement responded to the home for a welfare check, according to Sgt. Bishop Delaney. An insurance adjuster had called 911 because he was concerned Hill was having a medical issue. While trying to make contact with Hill, first responders heard a gunshot. Deputies entered and found the bodies, both dead from what appeared to be gunshot wounds.

The deceased are being transported to the medical examiner’s office and autopsies have been requested, Delaney said.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Unit is still processing the scene, and the investigation is still ongoing.

Update, 11:24 a.m.: Early into their investigation, police have determined that the shots fired inside the home was the result of a homicide and suicide, according to Delaney.

The Crime Scene Unit has now responded to the scene.

WOODLAWN, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Police are investigating an incident where shots were fired inside a house in the Woodlawn community.

The incident took place at 4200 block of Moore Hollow Road. Montgomery County Deputies and Criminal Investigators are currently processing the scene and are conducting an investigation into the matter, according to Sergeant Bishop Delaney.

Investigators detailed the scene is secure and poses no threat to the public. No further information has been released.
