CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Looking for fun things to do over the weekend in Clarksville? Here are our top picks, including a Tom Petty tribute band, the Hummingbird Festival and a kids show at Roxy.

Downtown @ Sundown

  • Where: Downtown Commons, 215 Legion St.
  • When: 7-10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15

  • Details: The Wildflowers (Tom Petty tribute) will be performing. Food trucks will also be present.

Hummingbird Festival

  • Where: Wade Bourne Nature Center, 2308 Rotary Park Drive

  • Details: Activities include live hummingbird banding, pollinator garden tours, expert lectures on wildlife and conservation, kids activities, hayrides, food trucks and more. Hosted with support from the Warioto Audubon Society and the Southeastern Avian Research Group.

Seussical Jr.

  • Where: Roxy Regional Theatre, 100 Franklin St.
  • When: 7 p.m. Aug. 15, 16, 22 and 23; 2 p.m. Aug. 16, 17, 23 and 24.
  • Cost: $35 adults, $15 10 and younger
  • Details: Dr. Seuss’ best-loved characters collide and cavort in a musical caper. Performed by local youth, this tale is perfect for the entire family.
