UPDATE: 2 wrecks have traffic tied up on Interstate 24 in Clarksville

Update, 4 p.m.: Traffic remains slow through the area on Interstate 24.

Traffic on Madison Street is back to normal.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A pair of wrecks had traffic tied up on Interstate 24 eastbound Friday afternoon.

At 2:55 p.m., traffic was very slow from about mile marker 9 to just past Exit 4. Wrecks were reported at mile marker 9 and mile marker 8.

Traffic has been backed up all day at Madison Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway, where TDOT paving work is under way.
