CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A motorcyclist was critically injured when his bike crashed into an SUV Saturday afternoon on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard.

At about 12:54 p.m. at 2644 Wilma Rudolph Blvd., Mission BBQ, the motorcycle crashed with another vehicle, according to Clarksville Police spokesman Officer Scott Beaubien.

The motorcyclist was being flown by LifeFlight helicopter to Nashville. Investigators with the Fatal Crash Team are en route to process the crash scene, and Wilma Rudolph Boulevard is down to one lane in each direction.

At 1:50 p.m., southbound traffic was backed up to the mall and northbound traffic to 101st Airborne Division Parkway.

Motorists are advised to find an alternate route until the roadway can be opened back up.
